When I first came here, my life was not in a great way. I'd recently come out of a nasty break up and hardly had any friends to my name. It's through the lighthouse that i have managed to regain my confidence and a whole new circle of friends which I've become incredibly close too and see as a second family. I am indebted to the workers and members who've shown me support and helping me find my love for music and performing again and I feel it would be a terrible loss if the community were to loose something so special.

The Lighthouse has been a massive part of my life since I was 13. It’s enabled me too to be in bands and express myself through music. I don’t where I’d be without the Lighthouse!

There is nowhere else in Christchurch for young people to go if this closed. The new council needs to take that into account and either let it stay open or provide a suitable alternative.

Such a valuable place for Youth to go to. My son attends and plays keys in a band there with some friends. They love going and are upset that this fantastic club has been given an eviction notice. If it has to close then BCP must provide an alternative central location. So few places for youngsters to go these days - don’t close it down!!!
