I own 5901 Vandegrift and have NEVER given anyone permission to plant a tree in my yard. Please provide me with a copy of the contract where I supposedly okayed this. It will not prove to be my signature as I DID NOT APPROVE this! Diana Campbell Owner of 5901 Vandegrift Ave

My professional opinion as an arborist is that this tree will go into decline as a result of the transplant and will eventually die due to secondary effects of moving it. If the goal is to preserve the tree, it should be saved in place.

Moving this tree will likely kill it.

If they move it, they need to endure the life of it for X amount of years,

We absolutely need to save any national champion tree!!! These trees are few & far between. We should be proud to have such a tree in our county

Don't move it. I'm always embarrassed when construction crews put up a "forest retention" sign, and it is next to one tree.

We need more green spaces and trees not more housing developments.

This is a no brainer, esp. with accelerating climate change.
