Lab should also develop a plan for how to integrate the pool into its outreach, communications/marketing and fundraising efforts. The selling point would be the appropriateness of swimming as a sport for students with learning disabilities - and the benefits of such physical activity/athletics for these students.

Please keep the pool, it means a lot to kids and not suRe that a theater would give the physical outlet that the lab school children need desperately to gain confidence snd strength.

The pool is an invaluable resource for the school and community. To make a decision to demolish it without any discussion is irresponsible. I often hear how the school community chose to build a pool before the Commons room and kitchen because it would be such a wonderful benefit to the students. As a swim team member parent, it want to see the proposal to remove the pool dismisssed and to have a larger discussion about how to create a more robust pool/swim program to the advantage of our school community. Thank you, Tom, for starting this petition.

I am a grandparent of a lab school student. My grandson has thrived at the school and his ability to be part of the swim team has been very positive and part of my charitable decision. If the pool is eliminated my contribution may be as well.

Access to swimming is one of the best things to ever happen to my granddaughter. All of us who swim know how freeing being in the water makes us feel. This is too important to not keep!
