The decision to close it was done without consultation and attempted at a time of year that absolutely screwed people because commitments for next year had already been made.
Shambolic governance on behalf of a board that is simply inept.
Not acceptable.

-without the creche many members with young families are unable to use facilities.
-during creche hours, those young parents often spend money in the club house.
-no creche will likely result in more members using facilities during peak hours.
-the booking system has been down for many months. So using this great service is difficult to access unless you arrive without being registered.
-this will likely result in members with young families to discontinue membership.

The Creche is such an important part of Kooyong, there are many ways in which it could continue to remain open, please allow us to demonstrate these, with members working together to make it more profitable.

The crèche is a very important asset which allows members with young children to use the facilities for which they have paid with their membership.

Very disappointing to read that the crèche is being closed. Was a wonderful way to ease back into tennis and the gym. This will impact greatly on younger members at the club.

Please keep the crèche open - to allow mums and dads to exercise and play tennis whilst looking after their children.
Will be such a shame to see it go.

To close the crèche makes the KLTC much less attractive. RSY is looking like a better alternative

The crèche was a game changer for me when I had children the ability to drop the kids for a couple of hours and be able to exercise, so invaluable to my mental health, not to mention the friendships I made. Thank you for fighting to keep it open. They also need to advertise more so more members are aware of it.

The closing of the crèche creates exclusion for parents who enjoy the club’s facilities, particularly for mothers.
The sudden closing of the crèche feels like a way to make up for the poor management and spending of finances at the club. This is not the way to right the wrongs of the financial issues faced by the club. There are other solutions and these should be explored before a rash decision made. Although something must be done about the finances, targeting a disadvantaged group ie-women is not the answer.

A family club should have a creche, like so many of our finest reciprocal clubs do.
