Save the Kerrville Nativity Scene!!
Kerrville, Tx has long been known as a peaceful and prosperous city that was built upon the character and values that our great country of the United States of America was originally also founded around. These characteristics include honesty, safety, trustworthiness, and family. Part of the cities holiday family tradition has been at the central hub of the city, being the Kerrville courthouse. The courthouse has been decorated for many years with well known and throughly enjoyed trees of many colors, the Christmas nativity scene, as well as many lights and other festive decor. This has provided families with little to no income to have free festivities to enjoy with their children as well as bringing brightness and hope to the many foster and abused children who enter the courthouse each day to face their cases of neglect and darkness.
It has recently been brought to our attention that the Kerrville courthouse is considering taking down the Christmas nativity scene and store it from this point forward in an effort to avoid any controversy. We, the people of Kerrville, stand up against this and say No! This is part of our cities heritage and history and we believe everyone has a right to continue to enjoy this part of the holiday season. We should be empowered to keep the traditions we believe in.. Please help us stand together as a community and keep the Kerrville Nativity Scene! We need your help keeping this long lasting tradition alive!
