The art deco heritage and premium cinema experience should be preserved for future generations. We don't need more luxury flats.

We love our local Odeon, Minerva can keep their grubby profit hungry hands off our treasured community cinema!

Simply having apartment blocks does not make for a civilised environment and worthwhile place to live. The provision of cultural assets such as cinemas is vital to ensure a worthwhile place to live. Granting planning permission to this scheme as currently envisaged would be short-sighted and not in the interests of residents of the Borough. Stuart Archbold

I'd rather have the iconic cinema that has been part of Kensington for 11 years short of a century, than more "luxury flats" that can make some developer wealthy while the community benefits much much less.

Short term profits to made by those who corrupt the local the councillors when local businesses benefit from the trade the cinema brings and will bring further as the Design Museum creates an 'artistic and creative' corner to Kensington High Street.

We've lost too many iconic and important 20th century buildings that represent a cultural focus in the high street. Brighton lost a similar cinema in the late eighties and it was replaced to a retail box for a sports store which could have easily used the cinema building, but no the developers with the usual total lack of respect for architectural quality and imagination had it torn down.
