I am terribly worried that the 1080 drop will endanger our rare native wildlife. Please reconsider, there must be a better way.

I reside in Idaho, USA. I've spent over twenty trips to NZ at an average of 3 months per trip. I'm very concerned about the affects of 1080 on one of NZ's most magnificent birds, the Kea. The Kea has caused significant damage to my car and anything attached to it that it can sink its sharp bill into! I love this curious and intelligent parrot. It's has upset me for many years that the very government agency that is suppose to be watching over this magnificent bird would run the risk of harming it, is alarming. There has to be a better way to control introduced species. It's up to Nick Smith and the DOC to find alternatives.

It is time the time now, before it becomes too late, that we all must STOP THIS MAD, STUPID SLAUGHTER.
Listen to Radio Live, on Sunday afternoon/evenings, and ring in when you hear the discussions start.
Keep ringing at other times, 24 hours a day, and get more feedback from others. It will help to have FACTUAL INFORMATION that you can read out. You will soon notice other people that do not know what is really going on, sitting up and asking questions about it.
( if you get abit of stage-fright, just remember that you are talking to one person being the Talk Show Host, ) the other people out there in radio land are just listening. Go for it, be strong, we have to, lets just do it.
