Ive personaly watched the destruction of our bird live over the last thirty yeats and it disgusts me how the get away with it

On danger to avarian species alone its unjustified. On the as yet fully known deleterious effects on foetal and infant New Zealander's its unconscionable. Direct causation is a grossly irresponsible benchmark for halting any further 1080 dusting operations over potable water supplies . The benchmark instead should be that there is a proven link between sodium monofluroacetate (Compound 1080) and serious mammalian health effects.

DOC should have questioned the use of 1080 and wondered why so many people protested and then gone to Government to advocate on behalf of these and creatures. Bring in paid hunters if they are so concerned is it propaganda that possums kill forests the Australian opinion differently

Stop the drops. Not safe from the air - targets not species and ends up in waterways. Many studies show is not successful just breeds more rats so stop using via the air please! Plus how can the bird population increase when 1080 destroys the process of fertility. We have a decrease in Kiwi's, Keas
