We the undersigned demand that the Iraqi Jewish archive should be returned to its rightful owners - the Jews (currently living in Israel), who are the only ones who appreciate its true value, and would treat it with the respect and care that it deserves!

Save the Iraqi Jewish archive, and send them to Israel.

When visiting Iraq in 2003, Saddam Hussein’s intentions towards Israel was very visible by the print on the Iraqi currency. On one side it had his portrait and the other, 'The Dome of the Rock' in Jerusalem.

Israel or USA only

Events over the past half-century have shown that Islamic governments have no interest in keeping the legacies of any religious minority 'alive.' If there is any hope of these artifacts being saved they must be removed from their present location.

With the country still in such chaos it makes no sense to return the artifacts now. Keep them safe until a safe, nurturing and co-operative home can be established for them inside their country's boundaries for ALL countrymen, women & children. If this hostile place isn't safe for them, it isn't safe for the artifacts. Returning them to a hostile regime just because it is inside the country boundaries isn't justified at this time.

All books should be given to Israel!!

The current leadership of the U.S. likes to talk about a "goodwill gesture" when it comes to pressure Israel. Well, in addition to freedom to Pollard for Obama and Kerry, there is now a great opportunity to make a gesture towards the Iraqi Jewish community in Israel. Or for them is better to follow the example of President Putin with his solution about the Schneerson library. But Russia has at least left a valuable collection for Jews still living in Russia. And to whom want to pass Jewish documents Mr. Obama? To Al-Qaeda or Iranian ayatollahs, who will soon become the main hosts in Iraq?

It shoud be retrieved to Iraky Jewish people!

Iraq government has stolen property that belonged to Iraqi Jews. The property should be returned to legitimate owners.

Give the documents to those who will treasure them and will keep them safe for the future generations. Because they belong to their families expelled from Iraq.

The history must be preserved, for future generations to appreciate its past, and learn from. The only place where these documents will be safe is Israel. No one else even wants them, so what is the problem?

Do not discredit the reputation of USA by this immoral decision! This archive is not just the unjustified and illegally expropriated artefacts, primarily it is the Jewish history, of which by Jews, after centuries of persecutions and pogroms remains so little! Don't cause yet another damage! Until now, America was not smirched with this. Do not open an American page (in the name of President Obama) in this dishonourable book.
