Removing this tradition makes no sense.

The Hokie Pokie was my favorite part of being in the MV's and being a fan in the stand in Land Stadium. This is a shame.

Ashamed to say that we've forgotten that the Hokie Pokie is what it's all about. This appears as a continued diminishing role of the band on gameday due to the phasing out of traditions for an updated "modern" gameday experience. Modernize the atmosphere and the gameday experience to keep up with the times, but not at the cost of needlessly removing our unique traditions while also alienating 330+ of your biggest fans and their alumni.

One of the best traditions. Not only does it bring fans and the band together, but it brings together students from opponent school bands. One of the best traditions that brings a smile to everyone's face and a tear to your eye!

Keep the Hokie Pokie. It's tradition. My family even danced to it with the Hokie Bird during my wedding reception.

The Hokie Pokie is one of the best things the MV's do!! It promotes sportsmanship by inviting the opposing team's tubas to play along and makes an enjoyable experience for both teams. It is a mistake to remove it from the 3rd quarter.

As an alumni, I think the Hokie Pokie is a very important tradition that we need to continue at football games! It serves as not only a fun time to stretch between the third and fourth quarters, but also a sign of camaraderie between the two opposing teams, as the band always invites the opposing team's tuba section to participate!

The Hokie Pokie is such a unique tradition that makes VT games unique! If you don't want it before the third quarter, put it somewhere else! It needs to be at every game. We are the HOKIES and we do the Hokie Pokie!

As a former Marching Virginian, and a huge Hokie fan I cannot imagine VT football without the Hokie Pokie.

Really? The Hokie Pokie is indeed what it's all about! For an honorary cheer position? No. I'm signing it.
