Why would this even be an option? Of course we should keep the hokey pokey tradition!

This is a unique VT tradition that reflects the Hokie Spirit - which is unstoppable, just like our team.

The thought of cutting this tradition is just asinine for any reason , much less the one given by the marketing team of the athletics department.

So we want to be "tough" but get rid of "Stick It In" and "Hey Hey Goodbye." No. The Hokie Pokie needs to stay.

No! We can't get rid of the Hokie Pokie! This is the best tradition. It was amazing as a student and band member, it's amazing in the stands, and my kids know how to Hokie Pokie like an MV. Keep the good things!

As mother of two VTuba girls, I am appalled that anyone is thinking about dumping this great tradition!!!

Let's not be crazy. There's enough crazy change in our world, can't something stay the same!

As a parent of a VT alum, more importantly a Marching Virginian, it saddens me to think that the band wouldn't be playing this at every game. Everyone looks forward to hearing it. This a tradition and it needs to continue.

Do me a favor and stop concentrating on only what the older alumni want. The rest of us pay for tickets, too.

We do the chicken dance every second half at our basketball games. These are fun family friendly promotions and it would be something every fan and child looks forward to every game. It's an annual tradition think for the alumni and fans who have been hokie fans for life

Don't mess with tradition! If you're concerned about other schools making fun of us then kick their asses on the field! Leave the band alone!
