The Hokie Pokie is a tradition enjoyed by all the Hokies and MVs! As an MV for 4 years I always loved watching the tubas perform this dance. It motivates and encourages the crowd!!

One of my earliest memories of VT football is participating in the Hokie Pokie. Inviting the other team's tubas to join in is the most unique display of sportsmanship I have seen in my travels to other schools. What a shame to eliminate this tradition in favor of a generic "Let's Go" cheer that every stadium does.

Please don't take away a tradition loved by generations of Hokies! It gets people on their feet and brings people together. The chant is for pregame!

Why stop with the Hokie-Pokie? Drop HOKIE all together plus the Gobbler, too, 'cuz they aren't "tough". Are the marketing team twerking jerks? #SaveTheHokiePokie

This is one of the most unique experiences I have had at a football game. Creative and fun, it makes me smile every time I get to a game at VA Tech.

Come on, this is a tried and true tradition. It's what puts us apart from other schools. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
