As a former MV, the idea is losing one of the great traditions of our football season is actually heartbreaking. It may not seem as "cool" as Enter Sandman to marketing, but I wouldn't want to go to a Tech game without either.

Heartbroken!!! This is one of my favorite parts of the games at Lane, and it's always the best when tubas from the opposing team join in. The Hokie Pokey IS what it's all about. I have the "Hokie Pokey Elmo" to prove that. Class of '08.

Why would anyone get rid of something so unique and special? And the proposed replacement sounds so bland, something that any school could do. In fact, probably some do, but I've never heard of it, because it's not special enough for anyone to talk about. People all over the country know about our Hokie Pokie tradition.
