The Hokie Pokey between the 3rd and 4th quarters is not just a time honored tradition but it's an example of great sportsmanship. We frequently invite the tuba players from the opposing team to participate. Why would we ever do away with something so good? With all the hate in the world today, the least you can do is save the Hokie pokey!

Our moto Tradition never stops. Well why stop it. Been a season ticket holder for 28 years and why take the fun out of the game. We lost Stick it in Stick it in which was great and now this. We are Virginia Tech

One of the things that has made me proud to be a Virginia Tech alumni is our unique football experience. Fans of other teams I constantly praising Virginia Tech for the atmosphere of all games in the morale of our team and fans. Even our competitors love coming to see the hokey pokey at halftime. It's one of the things that set us apart from other teams. This is what college football is all about. People come to the games to have fun. How could you ever take away a long-standing tradition as special as this one? Virginia tech has school spirit like no other college I've ever seen and you are taking something away get on there and just enjoy standing back and watching the way we do football. If you take this away from us, you do not care about the right things and you literally be breaking the hearts of people do it help to make this program what it is and made it stand out. This is college football, not the military. Why would you ever take away from our game day experience?

My son chose the tuba with the dream of playing the Hokie Pokie on that Hokie field. He just became a Marching Virginian...help him live out that dream
