Were proud to be Hokies. Please don't do away with the traditions that WE grew up with and love!

First 'Stick It In', now the Hokie Pokie? If we keep stripping away the traditions which make Virginia Tech a unique and celebrated environment in college football, how long will it be before the Hokies become indistinguishable from every other generic football stadium among American colleges, with talented, dedicated student musicians in the marching bands standing idly in their seats while some nameless sap pipes jock jams out of the McDonald's™ 'Hokievision' jumbotron? Find some other way to massage the egos of noteworthy alumni and donors; preserve the time honored tradition of Hokies and visiting teams uniting for 3 minutes to put their whole selves in...the Hokie Pokie, after all, is what it's all about.

I was a part of the MVs for only 1 year, but it was hands down the best experience I've had. I'm appalled at this change.

Whomever came up with this idea in the athletic department should be reprimanded for this. ALL of our fans enjoy this experience.

I just did the Hokie Pokie with my 2 little grands and told them they'll be doing it when they go to VT. Don't make me a liar in the eyes of my boys.

This long predates the whole Enter Sandman gimmick. You just can't take this one away. Nope.

Keep this tradition! No reason you can't add the new honorary person leading a chant to the hokey pokey tradition. Just because we have a new head coach doesn't mean we change everything.
