Letting this be demolished compromises the main idea behind getting a property added to the National Register of Historic Places. This is a disincentive for future preservations. In trade for having to get approval for any future changes/renovations, you are supposed to be guaranteed that the property will live on in current form long after you are gone. Disgusting.

why demolish something so grand???? it needs to be restired and Rehab Addict from HGTV should come see it, I think she'll love it. why not?
Those of us in the Little Beaver Historical Society want this Historic building saved.
historical places need to be saved, not replaced.
