The Hjs has been an essential space for me to connect, learn, network and to start my career within dance coming out of school. It has also given me opportunities to teach and develop my teaching within the dance field. I really believe that my pathway within dance would have been a different one without the Henny Juriens Stichting being available for me.

I have been teaching at HJS for many years, as well I am balletmaster at Nationale ballet, and teacher at NDT, HJS is a wonderful training and meeting point for all dancers classical and contemporary!!!! It is very important for our community to keep HJS! I am guest teacher with many major dance companies in Europe, HJS is known where ever i go, which shows the importance of HJS.

HJS has a remarkable value in the Amsterdam Dance sector. Such institution should not have to close it's activities in the near future due to shortage of funds.

It is essential to keep Henny Jurriens going! As a student, I got to train next to pros and get a glimpse of what's to come and as a pro, it is a place to call home when theatres are on break.

My connection with HJS started 12 years ago as a dancer, taking classes - developing and growing artistically& professionally.
Later on I became one of their regular teachers and also an invited choreographer for heir international summer intensive.
The opportunity to grow, meet, reflect and share is one of the biggest virtues of HJS.
Supporting this organization is essential for the continuation of dance community in The Netherlands.
