As we own ourselves a dance studio (Katja Dance Company) we know how difficult it is to survive, just for the sake of our love to dancing. We make many sacrifices to keep our studio running as a platform for performing art. Thats why we strongly support all actions which enable such important places and institutions. one of the best place for Dance in Europe !!!.. dancers ,choreographers ...need this highly professional place for a strong training and stay connected with the dance world. I can t imagine Amsterdam without Henny Jurriens studio!.!!!...i wish you all the best HJS, i cross finger that you continue to get the subsidies .

Myself I am a professional dancer and choreographer and have been training at HJS throughout the years.
You simply have to fully fund and support this studio - it’s the only one left in Holland. It’s essential not the local and international dance world. One of the best.

If HJS would be forced to end her activities, Amsterdam will loose a dance institution of the upmost importance. That may never happen for that will be a terrible loss!

Als freelance danser en choreograaf is HJS onontbeerlijk voor mij geweest. Door de betaalbare lessen kon ik als danser blijven werken aan mijn niveau en op de hoogte blijven van de dansscene in en buiten Nederland. Als choreograaf kon ik dansers 'spotten' en als coördinator Dans en Theater van het Nova College, een dans- en theateropleiding op MBO niveau heb ik vele studenten de weg gewezen naar HJS, waardoor zij de kans kregen de hedendaagse danswereld te ervaren, zichzelf in context te zien en hun eigen ambities te definiëren. ( met recht inclusiviteit ) Het stoppen van HJS is de doodslag voor de onafhankelijke makers en dansers die op hoog niveau iets binnen de wereld van de dans willen vertellen en bewerkstelligen.

As a professional dancer in Paris Opera Ballet, HJS provided me the opportunity to upskills in various styles. It is a unique place, full of inspiring people, through I learned a lot. It gave me access to high quality workshops and I met people I will not forget. It is essential for the international dance community that HJS continues it's mission. Please help HJS, this institution helped so many people and could continue to help many more to learn, progress, discover and feel emotions se strongly.
