I am 87 and have enjoyed visiting many of the Hull Museums all my life. They are some of the best in the country and must be maintained now that Hull is to be a City of Culture.

Please don't close this. Kids love it. It brings them into the city centre for more than just shopping. Closing it now will see a domino effect before 2017.

The closure of the Hands on History Museum would lose a valuable educational facility for the people and especially the children of Hull.

Aren't we suppose to be a city of cultural but yet we are getting rid of our culture and history . We have been praised for having some of the best free museums in the country save hands on

culture and history are very important and worth more than money. Saving money by losing our culture and history and the ability to pass it on is scandalous. How can you close such a museum, we are losing so much in this city, that by 2017 we wont have any culture left to show.

I agree with Nick Quantrill. How are future generations going to learn if we remove their "hands on" Education?
Save on the managers large wages at the council?
