When visitors arrive in 2017 and expect this museum to be there and open to everyone during the day, it will give the wrong message if they discover its doors closed.

Please preserve our heritage and DO NOT close this museum. It would be an absolute disgrace if it was closed. This certainly sends out the wrong message to all those who supported the City of Culture bid.

this is one of the first museums I took my (now 10 year old) sister to and is still one of her favourites what a shame it would be for it to go

Just visited Hull last week for the first time and it looks fantastic with the City of Culture coming up - would be a pity to lose a local asset like this so close to 2017.
