It does not make sense to close museums in Hull particularly in light of having the city of culture conferred upon it. Museums are for learning and developing cultural capital.

Another example of Hull City Council shooting themselves in the foot. City of culture status given, only to take away a prime example of what the city has to offer. Maybe HCC could take back some of the 40% of Council Tax money that they re-direct to Council pensions to keep the Hands on History Museum open, just an idea. STOP THIEVING OUR MONEY FOR YOUR OWN GAINS AND START USING IT FOR WHAT IT'S FOR, THE PEOPLE OF HULL.
