While tough decisions have to be made about saving money, this seems to me a step over the edge. If we don't have our history, how will we know who we are and where we are going?

Culture is the culmination of history and if Hull really wanted to celebrate it's culture, they should be keeping museums like this open to the public!

In honor of an old friend from Hull, ho would have wanted this museum to remain open to all, I respectfully urge the City Council to rethink this decision.

In the US we have done this so many times ... and are raising a generation ignorant of their own past and unable to focus ona future. Please don't follow our example.
