I grew up in Hull and have fond memories of the old animated penny slot machines in the foyer. I visited again a couple of years ago and my children were fascinated by the mummy. This is an important resource for Hull people and for visitors.

A city of culture in my opinion is a place where local history, arts and the people come together to share and explore. Working in a local museum myself in the netherlands I see on a weekly basis the way we can help our neighbours to look around and learn more about the history of the place they live in.

Spent many happy days as child in here, want my little girl to do so too. Please don't close this museum down.
