Being the city of culture and closing museums seems quite odd. A city should support it's culture, especially is austere times.

It's always difficult trying to manage budgets but it would be a great pity to close a museum that brings learning to a city of culture.

A museum kept open only for pre booked parties still needs full time professional curation, this closure will be of no benefit to Hull at all. It would be better off kept open..
