Look at cities like Bristol, they are expanding their museums, not closing them. Find the money and make cuts elsewhere.

Valuable assets should not be closed down simply to save money, involve the community of Hull to help define its future, it's a fantastic space and resource and would be sad to see that locked away for only a privileged few...

I've enjoyed many hours visiting this museum with my grand daughter. It would be such a shame if more generations will miss out on the same experiences that we enjoyed on our visits.

As someone who loves history, culture and the arts; currently working in the sector in Newcastle and brought up in East Yorkshire, it would be a crying shame to waste the incredible opportunity Hull has as City of Culture by closing museums
