Even if we have to charge we need to keep these museums open for the public and for our credibility with regards to city of culture status!

It is sad to see any museum closing down. They are a valuable asset to the city-folk and tourists alike. As a tourist visiting a city local museums are always on the top of my list of attractions. This would be so sad especially as Hull was awarded the City of Culture for 2017. I am not from Hull by the way but I think it is a crying shame if this goes ahead.

My children have spent many happy times learning in this wonderful place. Please please please do not close down this valuable asset. Why when hull is getting the recognition for how fantastic it is are we closing down a part of what makes it fantastic. Really sad.

Hull won the City of Culture Bid because of it's current as welll as proposed cultural attributes. To close museums is going back on it;s promise to the poeple of Hull and to the City of Culture Committee that awarded the honour to Hull

Difficult times, cut backs inevitable but please reconsider this decision. A great educational resource, children really benefit from these resources.

Visited this museum a few years ago when my daughter was studying the abolition of slavery at school. It was a wonderful want to bring to life the individuals associated with the movement and made history more real. This is real education that kids enjoy and it should not be closed to save money.
