The Salt Lake City District has made the unfortunate decision of entirely discontinuing the Guide Dogs and Small and Companion Animal Science CTE classes next year. The guide dog class has helped so many people- not just visually impaired people who end up having the dogs we help train, but also the students who put so much effort and dedication into the program the class offers. We would hate to see it go. In an effort to show our protest of this choice, we students are putting together a petition and an array of personal essays, to be submitted to people in the district. If you value these programs, signing this petition will help show the district how much this program means to us.
