I am not a frequent user of graduate but I used it to socialize and did my interviews and focus group for my Phd because it is central part of PG meeting Point where everyone has an easy access for interviews and meetings...by stripping the PG vital facility from us the Researchers as well as students were uncalled-for and disrespect of our equal needs of one central facility dedicated for PG experience.

As a soon-to-be PG student I had no idea this was going to happen. There needs to be somewhere for all postgrad students to study - not just PhD students.

One of the reason that made me choose to study in Hull University is the graduate school and now they are taking it from us. That is unfair. Why they did not announce this before the survey and why this been made suddenly without any consideration to the student. Are not we part of the university or what???????????????

As a masters student, the Graduate School is the only silent place where I can study on campus. I don’t have access to the PhD room in the library. The library only offers the Reading Room as a silent space for studying, which becomes noisy during mid-terms and exam period. The Graduate School is also an important place for socializing with other postgraduate students, making my student experience nicer and more humane than if I had to go to the library, sit at a different spot and be surrounded by different people every day. How does closing the Graduate School to postgraduate students make the University of Hull “postgraduate friendly”?
