Professor Walter has been by far the best professor at Hertie and his classes foster critical thinking, analysis and thinking out of the box. Not having him would be a real loss for the students.

Governance in areas of limited statehood was easily the best and painstakingly thorough course at Hertie, where we not only learnt about different governance models but also their relevance and application in the real world.

One of the best courses I've taken at Hertie. Hope it's offered to students next semester, and the years to come!

It is the only course at Hertie that addresses topics at the cutting edge of development and governance.
