Save the Gibber Gunyah Bus Run, Theodore Qld

I know first hand the impact on children unable to have access to education.

Ex user of a rural bus run which suffered a similar fate. The people making these rules have no idea how they affect the lives of these families.

Please save our bus run. I have one child on this run and Twins that will be using it in couple of years.

Rural population goes up and down it is a cycle. Once the services are lost it is hard to have them return. These families will be impacted greatly financially, and time are just a couple.

Can a bus run be combined? Just a thought.

I myself don't live in Theodore I do known the town real well ,Can't see any sense in cutting the bus run over one child , As the town population is up an down .. Please reconsider an keep the Gunyah bus run Regards Cathaleen

Because you live on the land and are the backbone of our nation you don't deserve a little bit of help???? Don't you think our farmers are dong it tough enough at the moment?

I think they should make some changes into that policy. If the parents are willing to pay for a sixth kid why not accepting it? It's crazy!!!

This bus run is essential to the future of our young generation, to the future of the school and not just a convenience but also an essential service for these families. They are humans who live, not numbers on a page.

Education and facilities should have minimum standards and be available indiscriminately to all

We have an 8 month old and plan to hopefully have 2 more children that will all use this bus run in the future. There are do many families that rely on this service .

I support Gibber Gunyah bus run! I will even help pay for mythical 6th child!

These school bus services are an essential part of life for rural families. It could be that this move will force them to leave the area completely & then the next issue is the school faces less students & therefore a drop in teachers. Surely a bus with fewer students on it for a year will be strongly outweighed by the over filled buses in urban areas. Give the bush a break!

as a past operator of this service , u realize that the women form a part of the hands on work force of this mixed farming district. clousher means more work for mum.....the parents subsudised my self at one stage to ease their workload

i strongly object to the removal of bus services to any rural area - it is essential that these communities be able to continue without the fear of losing even more families because of the difficulties in transporting children to school. This decision is a bad one and would have a detrimental flow in effect to a wonderful community such as Theodore.

There are no easy options out here... no public transport to help working busy parents. Take away buses and you severely impact families and communities.

Think this is very important for the future of Theodore school. Everyone should have access to a school bus.
