We are so grateful to have been a part of the GEMS program. This program has given my kids opportunities to be challenged and becoming better versions of themselves. GEMS have opened doors for my kids' education. My daughter was in GEMS in 2014-2017 and now my son is currently part of the program. Both kids have been HONOR students throughout middle school and HS. My daughter was fortunate enough to get into the IB program only because she received a solid GEMS education. My son currently in GEMS hopes to get into IB and attend Oxford one day. With the amazing GEMS teachers at EMS, both of them have received multiple awards for spelling bee and science fairs. They've scored above standards in the states tests. We believe GEMS is one of the BEST programs in LEUSD that's worth every penny to keep. I urge the district to review the benefits of this program and the test scores of every student. The success is immeasurable.
