Shooting the geese is NOT the way to get rid of them. There are better and definitely more humane ways. The permit to shoot should be revoked and the person, or persons, who are responsible for signing it should be let go.

as a former educator, I find this most disturbing. What message does this send our children? The geese are a nuisance, so let's murder them. Children follow by example.

Please find another way. Families in and around your area become attached to these animals. Can't imagine having to tell a child thier 'geese' were shot because their were a nuisance. With the disappearance of natural habit, the geese need a chance to relocate! I am sure there must be an alternative to simply killing them off.
