Pflugerville is currently seeing problems with the over accelerated, poorly planned growth in the east part of town. The original downtown regularly sees the creek flooding its banks. Don't take away the greenbelt which provides a vital part of the ecosystem just to build more McMansions! Be responsible, please!

I live in Gatlinburg and we are already choked with traffic in mornings and late rush hour, plus the loss of ever more green space. I disagree with Councilman Marsh's statement, "“With the city growing, the city can’t reach in and say, ‘no more growth will happen...you can’t shut off the gates.”
Yes you can. This axiom is questionable at best, but more importantly the city council's primary job is to serve the residents WHO ALREADY LIVE THERE, not to developers or prospective residents who want to come later or might come. Additionally, the last thing we need is more development that will increase traffic, increase property taxes and needs for more schools, EMS/fire, and other social services and lead to the next real estate bubble, which when it bursts will drive down everyone's value of their property. Growth can take many forms besides continued razing of more land to fatten developers' wallets.

I have just purchased a home in Gatlinburg, and it was expressly purchased because of the peaceful neighborhood. I absolutely oppose adding more homes to the area, especially on top of an 'unused' greenbelt. Tell the wildlife it is 'unused', please.

I am in agreement with the denial of the proposed development. As a 9 year homeowner in Gatlinburg, I am for saving the Greenbelt. Lastly, I could not even fathom the congestion and overcrowding this development would bring. The 4-way intersection at Immanuel & Wells Branch is already a mess since they built that new school.

We have lived in Gatlinburg for 19 years. Since we have lived here nothing has been done to Immanuel Rd. It's a two lane road that has more chuckles and uneven road. This road needs to be widened before anymore development happens along it. Also love the country feel. Also traffic backs up behind our house everyday which brings lots of car pollation to our backyard. Please don't let this subdivision come to our green space.

Seems ridiculous to permanently destroy more green space when there are already so many vacant buildings and storefronts already. And for the love of God more housing ,to much traffic already . I feel like the greed needs to stop .

1 ditto.........The out of control expansion of Pflugerville is ruining the appeal of this historic city. Do not touch any of the original Old Town or further farm property! Take care of what we already have, and stop falling for every developers greedy grab!!!

I already have 50 mph traffic just 8-10 feet from my back fence. Adding more traffic and congestion to the roadway will increase the noise, exhaust fumes and damage to our concrete fence . It will also take away from our quality of life.

The green spaces in Pflugerville were one of the principal reasons for our moving here. With their loss, this city is becoming less appealing. It´s time to show commitment to current Pflugerville residents and make them part of these important decisions. Even though it is a seemingly minor act (so far) relative to the global onslaught on the environment, this and similar actions combined contribute to climate change. On the local level, destroying these natural barriers will lower protection from flooding, which has already reached dangerous levels in this area, and encroach on animal habitat.

Every where I look there are new apartments and houses being built. Yet the roads are still as congested as ever and in poor repair. Kids are having stay indoors as it's too dangerous for them to play outside. Just one decent playpark in the middle of Pfluger Park and when the weather is good, totally mopped.
Keep the Green belt. Save water and less traffic.
