One of my favorite parts of visiting my family in New Brunswick is driving through and photographing these beautiful bridges. The French village bridge has strong ties to my family, and I would hate to see it be torn down just

Covered bridges are a critical piece of NB's tourism infrastructure. They bring tourists and photographers from across the country and the continent. The provincial government should recognize the value of this resource and fight to preserve it. In fact, they should be building new covered bridges made out of modern engineered wood products. It's true that the old covered bridges struggle to carry fire trucks and construction vehicles, but engineers specializing in wood products can undoubtedly overcome these historical limitations. Our covered bridges are and essential part of this picture province.

When comparing costs of proposed bridge and informal tender provided to save the bridge, it also makes sound business sense to save the bridge. Best for tourism, historical value and best use of tax dollars!

We have lost way to many of our beautiful Covered Bridges over the years. We need to save the rest. It seems everything is getting replaced and all the history being distroyed. They are a wonderful piece of history but they are also loved by tourists. People travel from all over to see them.
Safety is a priority but I am sure we can do both!

Please reconsider destroying the bridge to replace it with a standard steel one. I know there is a man who says he can fix it cheaper, quicker and still maintain the covered bridge look with engineered wood product that will last. Please consider doing this it will save time and money and preserve our heritage. Our province is known for our covered bridges and we need to preserve all that we have not erase them !!!

We should preserve our history and our wooden bridges across the province part of the history of New Brunswick.
Heritage is big thing these days if you destroy all of our wooden bridges how are the children of the next generations going learn about our history.
The government should spend money where it's need and that's preservation of our history not fill there pockets.
