The only decent network show I've seen recently gets cancelled because people are too impatient to understand story building and the importance of character depth. I can see a slight similarity between the story arch of Ryan Hardy and Dexter Morgan. However the ending seemed to imply that they didn't want to end the series almost the same way Dexter did.
