Elaine is a wonderful person who works hard and is well respected within the local community. Elaine, her family and team are the very essence of our community I would like to think that something can be done to ensure her role as a local ambassador and small business owner continues.

An electricity substation won't say hello to you when you go past. It can't sell you flowers, stop to chat, give advice, or know the name of your kids ...

Would be a disaster to lose the Flower Lady who has been brightening up this corner for so many years.
Essential she stays put because has not only the trade from train travellers but every one using the access tunnel. The only other flower shop went out of business because round the corner and off the beaten track.

Would be a real shame if this disappeared.

The Flower Lady is a wonderful part of the Herne Hill community.
Please make a plan that allows her to continue trading in her very special way.

The flower lady is a well-loved part of the station square area and should remain so! Replacing the shop with a substation would show Network Rail's disregard of local views and it's lack of imagination/technical expertise to find another way to provide sufficient power to the shops they have refurbished - shame on them if they proceed.

Elaine has been instrumental in developing the community of Herne Hill-not only providing a beautifully aesthetic comer to the station and selling flowers -she provides pastoral care to many local people and is a hub for people to chat out side the shop. It’s is a cruel injustice if she is put out of Buisness for the mistakes of others. The coal house should be preserved for it historic and cultural value- nuff said !

This lovely flower shop was one of the reasons I was first ever drawn to live in herne hill. It is the best flower shop in London and Elaine is a big part of the local community. Removing the shop or relocating it would be a tragedy!

Surely there is another spot for the equipment they need to place - like near/on the railway sidings? NR need to be supporting local businesses not making life harder for them

Network Rail have already put enough people out of business and there can be no justification whatsoever to take away Elaine's livelihood. Elaine, who has developed a valued and well loved business and who has been a leading spokesperson for a creative Herne Hill.

Elaine is a vital member of the Herne Hill Community. Not only providing a service as the only florist in the local area but also one of the main drivers behind the market. It seems unfair that another local business has to suffer because of your bad forward planning. There must be enough land around the station for you to place your substation elsewhere. Hands off our Flower Lady.
