How would the cables reach the refurbished shops? Any trenches would cause enormous disruption to the local businesses. A more thought out solution can be found either by using land at the side of the track or space within the redevelopment ie the unit under the bridge.

Plenty of alternatives and their own stupidity that they dint work out earlier that they needed additional power capacity for these shops that they have taken so long to refurbish!

Seriously?! The only florist in Herne Hill, well established and valued by so many. Find somewhere else for the sub station, which was obviously omitted in your original plans!

Things will always change, and that’s ok. But shops like The Flower Lady have been the ones to keep local areas going through recession. The importance of local indie shops to long term economic health has to be recognised

This is a wonderful shop run by someone who showed entrepreneurial spirit when Herne Hill really needed it. It's in the ideal location for local residents and visitors. Surely a substation can be someone less 'central'?

Elaine has done more for Herne Hill than almost any other singular person. She is tirelessly at the heart of community events. And she campaigned long and hard for the Sunday farmers market stalls to be allowed to trade. This is no way to repay her. Nor is it necessary.

The Flower Lady was one of the places which was a constant and made outside the station look more appealing for many years. It feels that she's very much part of Herne Hill and it would be a huge loss to the community and as well as being unjust to take away someone's livelihood in this manner. Please stop going into communities and trying to make money from local people's hard efforts.

We should be supporting community business, not bulldozing them into what is best the council!
