The clearance of this delightful shop and friendly Herne Hill character is an outrageous ruining of a local asset. Don't do it TfL.

A beautiful little historic building that must not be demolished. We love this colourful florist’s shop which adds to the community village atmosphere of Herne Hill station square. Elaine is an important part of the community.

I love popping in to chat to Elaine and her menagerie, it would be such a shame to lose one of the friendliest shops in the village.

The flower shop is a pulsing heart of Herne Hill’s community. It is vital that the shop remains. It’s far too easy to push small businesses out and change the fabric of our communities, by developers and the big companies. By this we are at the verge of loosing the wealth and richness of communities. There must be other solutions to the substation location.

Such a gorgeous, quirky expression of originality is a delight to the whole community. Nothing else will add this value

This is wrong on so many levels: an electricity sub-station does NOT belong aesthetically or practically on a prime retail site next to a station; loss of one retail unit in a small shopping area like Herne Hill impacts on all the other shops, cafes and businesses in the area because of the affect on amenity; local retailers and businesses should not be treated so badly - it will hardly encourage new business to the refurbished units if they see how little disregard their landlords have for their tenants; and we all value Elaine and her lovely Flower Shop and would not want to lose them. Stop this!

The small attractive shop bursting with colour gives station square a valuable vibrancy that should be considered in the value of the area. There are far less desirable arches closer to the retail units that should be considered first. Not only that, but Elaine's established business is a really asset to the community, and her friendly approachable demeanour, almost a councillor sometimes, is of immense value to Herne Hill. Please don't gut our town if it's charachter.

Much loved businesses already lost in Brixton thanks to Network Rail doing just as they please. Now the same behaviour in Herne Hill - please show compassion and compromise to small businesses and respect local residents' wishes.
