The afterschool program is vital to students. It gives us a place to learn, interact with peers in a safe environment, with welcoming staff. No one should get that removed curbing their school experience.

As if what the kids are already going through isn't enough. Cutting after school programs would mean putting more at risk children back on the street because most have no where else to go. Keep in mind the mental state a lot of our youth is already in, taking more away would only make things worse in the long run.

Our children need a safe place to go to after school! After school program offer an opportunity for youth to connect with their peers and elders on a deeper level; it allows for youth to explore sports, knowledge and access resources to food and tutoring. Please keep after school programs!!!

Please save our after school program. The program at Eagle Rock High School, A World Fit for Kids, helped my family. Knowing that my son was in a safe place helped ease my worry while I was working and couldn't pick him up in time.
