Please save this historic reailroad. It cpntinues to bring joy to tourists young and old over the years. And it still brings movie business to Ventura County. We need the FWRY to keep this legacy going.

The Fillmore and Western RR has been a part of California's railroad history since 1967 (current equipment on site since the 1990s). They were featured in over 400 TV, movie, and commercial shots in the F&W's entire history. Movies include "Throw Momma from the Train" (1987), "Race to Witch Mountain" (2009), and "Get Smart" (2008). The equipment was even featured in 1990's Back to the Future 3. TV shows that the equipment was filmed include CSI (2000-2015) and NCIS: Los Angeles (2009-present). I have ridden trains since 2004, and the last one I've ridden was in 2016. The F&W operate a steam locomotive numbered 14, as well as several vintage diesel locomotives and passenger cars. Every June, they have a Honey Fest where patrons ride the train to Bennett's Honey Farm in Piru. On weekends, the train goes between Santa Paula and Piru, where the honey farm is. Every Fall, the F&W operates the Murder Mystery and Pumpkinliner trains, and during the Winter holidays, there is a Christmas train, complete with lights. For years, the F&W has been a gem of Ventura County. If you'd like to save the railroad from closure, just sign on where it says "SIGN THE PETITION" and spread the word.
