While I commend the driver's actions, it probably could have been handled with more tact. While I hope he does not lose his job, it is important to remember that while in uniform your actions will reflect on the company you work for, and their policies may or may not align with your personal views.

I think he should get promoted for standing up for our flag. That our vets fought for. I proud to have Americans like this man that has served our country standing up for our vets and everything that our flag stands for.

Let him keep his job and commend him for his patriotic actions. As a company who uses Fedex very often and ships thousands of dollars a year through you, I would hate to have to switch to someone else due to your lack of patriotism. Commend this man, do not condemn. Thank you Fedex.

I will be following this story all the way to the end. I and my entire family use Fed Ex a lot and if this man is fired from his job we will never use this carrier again.

I appreciate his immediate response to the situation. As none of the protesters were injured, I would say he was only interested in protecting the most visible symbol of the US.

Please know that this was a unique situation that goes beyond an HR handbook. He demonstrated leadership and pride .... something that not many would do in that situation.
