WE WON AND THE FARMERS MARKET IS STAYING IN JESS PRICE PARK!! I AM ABSOLUTELY THRILLED THAT OUR TOWN LISTENED TO US AND CHOSE TO PROTECT OUR VENDORS. KEEP AN EYE ON THE PARK THIS WEEKEND TO CELEBRATE OUR HUGE VICTORY!!
The Town of Westcliffe has decided that the Farmers Market is a safety hazard and they want to move it from Jess Price park. Moving the market will effectively kill it, because the traffic that we enjoy now will no longer find the market. This will eat into the profits of vendors that decide to stay in the market, which will, in turn, cut into the taxes that the Town of Westcliffe receives from these vendors.
I HAVE BEEN TALKING TO VENDORS ALL MORNING AND THE FEAR IS REAL BUT SO IS OUR POWER!! THE TOWN OFFICIALS THINK THEY CAN JUST MOVE US WITHOUT A FIGHT BUT THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH JESS PRICE PARK MEANS TO THIS COMMUNITY!! WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE WITHOUT A MASSIVE STRUGGLE!!!

My business strongly relies on the Westcliffe Farmers Market, and so do many others. Moving it would be detrimental to the Market in its entirety. Please don't do this to YOUR locals!

The current location has a bathroom, shade, and provides more foot traffic for nearby businesses. Leave it where it is. If you change anything, change market day to Saturday to take advantage of weekend tourist traffic.

This is ridiculous, keep it where its at in the shade and it's a perfect location. Moving it will only run it out if business. It's a good feature to have for both locals & tourists.
If worried about car/foot traffic, utilize the mounted Sheriff's Posse, which I thought was already being done.

I appreciate the shade offered at the park. The bluff is so hot for veggies and other food items. Even with shades up. The trees keep the current area cool.

This is the third year my daughter and I have been going to the farmers Mary. It's the perfect location to attract people and create business for downtown Westcliffe. I see no problem with the location. The speed limit is low and there are crosswalks. Downtown will lose business if you move the market. And there are bathrooms.

The market adds charm to the town during its busiest season. It should not be moved unless the town provides a spot that has public restrooms, the same visibility, and features like the ones in Jess Park. Anything else would be a downgrade and anti-micro-business.

Please keep the Farmers Market at the park again this year. It's hard to build a consistent following with it being moved around too frequently. Thank you
