DON'T SELL THE EMPIRE MINE. Get new management, start a supporting foundation, do whatever it takes to keep this beautiful jewel! The community will be totally behind you. It's hard to maintain, but IT CAN BE DONE.

Empire Mine is a treasure ... beautiful environment, Grass Valley history, a place for family to visit and appreciate. It is invaluable and it belongs to the people.

Empire Mine SHP represents so much of value to California. Beyond the gold and the technological innovations, there is a powerful story of restoration, and recovery. So much has been invested in this formerly abandoned tangle of weeds and ramshackle buildings. Empire Mine SHP vibrates with historic drama and seasonal beauty. We must join together to properly support and sustain this heartthrob of Nevada County.
