I respectfully ask that the State Parks Department retain ownership of this park, even though clean-up of gold-rush toxic legacy is expensive. Work with the local community to find funding solutions.

Empire Mine made this county. It belongs to the people and if you want to sell it, it should be on a ballot. I don't want it sold. NO NO NO

This is terrible. No state park should be for sale. Do not let money win.

This park belongs to the people. It should be illegal to sell a State Park. Sounds like someone from the Senate Subcommittee has plans for a future purchase. If it's the expense of upkeep on the park, i'm sure there would be many local volunteers stepping up to keep the park open.

Make sure to let the buyer know if the people cant have it no one should. no buyer wants to buy a problem or constant trespassing and trash and fire and vandalism. just saying if they are thinking of selling your park then getting a little nasty or playing hard ball might be in order.

This historic site is ACTIVELY enjoyed by many people daily. It is a singular look at life in the Gold Rush era, as well as a large recreational area. It was a near miracle that the property was preserved thus far; selling to private interests exposes the site to a questionable fate.

I got married here two years ago. It's an absolutely breath taking venue and so educational and important for local history. Please don't shut it down.

The Empire Mine State Historic Park is a fantastic place. We must find a way for the State to continue its operation.
