Are you kidding me?! We lost so many B&B's to private residences during the housing market boom and now Nevada County wants to take this away from the public?! NOOOOO!

I've lived locally for ten years now. The Museum at Empire Mine is one of the highlights to every family or out-of-town guest's visit, and has the park one of the most beautiful and central trail systems for local friends from all over the county to meet up at and walk together. Huge part of the fabric of the culture here, worthy of preservation and respect.
On top of the heritage aspect: Mining operations inevitably poison and waste our precious water... I understand it's a valuable prospect, yet we cannot drink money.

My brother Orville ashes are scattered at the park. I would guess that others have also scattered loved ones ashes in the park. I believe that the is a game changer for the State to sell this jewel.

i am of cornish decent,and the empire shows the pride of all of the men that worked hard to make this beautiful town and our great nation,and these corupt polititions want to just throw away this jewel. its time that we the people stand up and fire them and make all of them have termlimits. this will help to stop this coruption. i think that future generations should be able to see what made california great,just as i did as a child,to this day i love the empire mine.
