It is hard to believe that someone has even thought to sell this incredible piece of California history. I have friends coming from China this summer, and this is one of the first places I planned to show them, as I do with all of my out of town friends. When my daughter visits, even though we have been there a dozen times, we always go back. If my daughter hadn't gotten married in the dead of winter, I would have held her wedding there. Please, please, please, do not sell this very special people's park.

We cannot sell off our history. Having access to a park such as this helps preserve our cultural heritage as Californians. So much of our history has already been lost to time and development; future generations need this connection.

My family and I have visited this park since I was 5 years old. It was the first place I thought of for my wedding. All of our guests were in awe that we were able to get married in such a magical place. Please don't take this away from our community!!

My great uncle, Phil Keast was an engineer at the Empire Mine and was the one who poured the last gold bar before it closed. We need to save this great piece of history.
