WE LIVED FOR 20 YRS IN GRASS VALLEY ON TOP OF THE MINESHAFTS OF THE EMPIRE MINE. THE EMPIRE MINE IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO VISIT AND LIVE CLOSE TOO.

I can't believe this. Was a valuable asset to the State park system. My daughter was married there. All three of my daughters 8th grade graduation was held on these grounds.

Our family has come to visit Empire Mine State Historic Park for the last 30 years to enjoy the beauty of the grounds and the great history with our children.. Please recognize the importance of this historic monument and include it with all the other State Parks to be properly funded for future generations to see and understand the huge part the Gold Rush had in making the Great State of California!

You CAN'T sell this park! It is a pivotal piece of California history! I lived in Grass Valley most of my life and have spent many hours wandering the trails throughout the Empire Mine. To sell this piece of our great states history would be nothing short of a travesty!
