It saddens me that an elected official would interfere in something that costs nothing & gives many people happiness. Did someone complain? Since when, in a democracy, did the rights of a few take precedence over the rights of many? By hanging those pictures the staff are, in fact, recycling - at the Recycling Center! What better example could they set? As a former resident of Candia, I loved going to the dump. How often can people say that? I hope the selectman who made this decision is humble, mature & wise enough to realize he made a mistake.

It is a transfer station NOT a military barracks. A little whimsy is a good thing. Good grief Charley Brown as Lucy would say. Lighten up and enjoy.

I have donated some of the artwork that has graced the otherwise dull walls of the recycling center. My sister, who lives in Candia, always enjoys seeing them on"dump runs". Please keep them!!

Big government comes to the small town. Another example of the erosion of our liberty enters into avenues of our daily lives. Simple expressions of joy and beauty denied because some low paid bureaucrat wants more self serving power. June England

I read the article. As a visitor to Candia I have accompanied a resident to the dump. I loved both the flowers and the art. This decision of the selectmen is petty and demeaning to the employees.

I love that the guys that work the transfer station salvage the artwork that comes through. It shows they care about it. If it matters to them, it should matter to us. Leave it up and thank them for taking the time to do it.

The art adds an element of fun to the dump, it's a shame one or two men have decided to take action on the towns behalf.
