We have so few community spaces in Dublin. Newmarket square is an integral part of Dublin the communities that live there. The city cannot and should not always favour big developments and financially driven projects. Holistic planning and foresight is needed here. Newmarket square as it is has far more benefits and than it may appear. We need to foster these spaces and help grow, not diminish or deter them.
I object to this planning proposal.

We take part in the monthly fusions world culture market. This would be a huge loss to the community as it's a place to learn and explore different cultures and arts and food. A mix of nationalities as well as native irish live in the area and its a great place to mingle together. Always a great atmosphere here. Community and diversity is important and fusions brings this all together.

Development cannot replace the community, the flea Market brings people together and creates an income and a great sense of cultural interaction for many people, it enriches lives - concrete development cannot recreate this
