Save the flea indeed! Dublin needs more community spaces and more stores like the co-op! Love all of the sunday markets.

If you abolish this space /size of market you'll remove what is Dublin about our city. There are plenty of places to put fancy new builds but not plenty of place you have this charm. Don't let property owners with a vested interest dictate purely for their own personal gain. We want a city better than that. Thank you, Alan

Communities need markets and spaces like this - it adds life and a reason to go be there. Planning authorities should be encouraging markets like these and realising the value that they add.

I think it would be disgraceful if this part of our heritage was to be taken away, it is part of Dublin.

This is a wonderful resource for Dublin city. It needs to be kept for the people and to help promote independent small businesses.

The Dublin Food Co-op and the numerous community markets that take place in Newmarket Square are hubs of community and integration. Not only are the people involved mindful of our impact on the environment - the products sold either being made accordingly or, indeed, reused and recycled - this is a space for integration for people of all backgrounds. Never have I been here and not learned something that benefited my worldview in some way or another. This, I think, speaks for itself.

These markets are an essential part of the local community and also serve as an important social hub. To see these spaces taken over and replaced would rob the area of it's identity.

Dublin flea market is a huge part of the life of Newmarket square. It's a fabulous asset to Dublin, you only have to see the diverse range of nationalities on any day the flea is on. It needs to stay and keep the heart of this area alive.
